ABSTRACTION
Figuration is defined as the removal of the reference to external reality. Abstract artists make works from shapes, lines and colors that are not a copy of reality and nature, but its essence.
Influences: contributions of culture and ancient traditions as Islamic art, art
primitive, prehistoric, romanic … which had been based on the geometrical simplification and stylization of forms.
Autores y obras: Authors and works:
Wassili Kandinsky (1.866 a 1.944).
Wassili Kandinsky (1866-1944). From the Der Bauer Reiter group evolves toward abstraction with works full of expressive colored stained , irregular shapes with a great rhythm and harmony. In his abstract path are two different stages:

The protagonist of the works is the color, which extends over the table with great dynamism in the viewer creating vibrations and emotional sensations, like the sounds of an instrument.
Obras:
–Primera acuarela abstracta First abstract watercolor
Series called compositions and improvisations, composed many works numbered, where forms are diluted in a sea of contrasting colors, increasingly without references and identifiable shapes.

b) 1921-1944.
b) 1921 to 1944. Rationalist abstraction. It is based on his book Point and Line on the Plane, written from contacts with Russian Constructivist and Suprematist groups and rationalists experiences from his work at the Bauhaus. His works present a geometric rigor in which the basic elements are the point and the line combined with primary and complementary colors

Otros movimientos de abstracción geométrica: Other movements of geometric abstraction:
NEOPLASTICISMO

Autores y obras: Authors and works:
Piet Mondrian (1872-1944).
Piet Mondrian (1872-1944). In his works never not waived the right angle and the compositions are arranged from black lines that divide the painting into cells that are painted randomly
Make many versions of Composition in Red, Yellow and Blue, where there is a great sense of balance.

SUPREMATISMO Suprematism
Autores y obras:
It takes place in Russia. Absolute predominance of pure plastic sensibility. Prevalence of simplicity of geometric shapes and the very limited use of color.
Authors and works:
Kasimir Malevitch (1978-35).
–Composición suprematista: cuadro rojo y cuadro negro Suprematist Composition: red box and black box
-Cuadro negro sobre fondo blanco
-Cuadro blanco sobre fondo blanco
CONSTRUCTIVISMO Constructivism
Also developed in Russia. The approach of the movement is not contrary to the above but more intervention and a concrete program of political action. They argued that it was necessary to eliminate any distinction between the arts: painting and sculpture were also built (not represented) and had to use, therefore, the same materials and the same technical procedures that architecture, which in turn should be funcinal and visual. Importance of the «buildings» and relief paintings, which combine and integrate unusual materials in real space (glass, brass, wood) support both two-dimensional and in three-dimensional parts.
